About UXDIY
Often we must take a step back from how things are progressing and reflect. Too often it is evident that experiences are being designed (or as some say “cobbled together”) in the name of agility, which loosely translates to fragility.
The dev sprint is starting in 3 days and there are no mockups ready, lets groom the stories today with the design team and maybe they can add some visuals for the devs to look at
…or something like this:
We have a tight delivery schedule and incremental changes can happen later… you know when that is right [add chuckle].
It really shouldn’t be about the mockups. It really isn’t about the “look & feel”. There really isn’t a problem with the 2 day deadline for the mockups for the dev team. It certainly isn’t about reducing in-sprint bugs or the release schedule. With a team (Product Owner to QA/Testing) having the right user centred culture real meaningful positive impact is inescapable!
